bounce house business starter kit

The Total Bounce House Business Starter Kit

I was inspired to make The Total Bounce House Starter Kit because my newly formed Youtube channel, which focuses on teaching bounce house business information, is growing very quickly, and I am getting flooded with questions from my followers asking how to start a bounce house business, and what the pros and cons of starting a bounce house business were. Because I seem to be typing very similar responses all day long, I decided to make this bounce house business starter kit as a guide and checklist to help add some clarity on how and where to start!

Below I have created the Total Bounce House Business Starter Kit. It contains: A list of items to buy/setup NOW, list of items to buy later, list of Nick’s Favorite suppliers, Action Plan in the beginning, where to reach Nick to ask questions (he answers every DM on IG), actions to take once your getting rentals, and many of Nick’s helpful YouTube videos.

While I cover some great info here, and in my YouTube videos, I can tell you that the single most important thing that you need to do, has nothing to do with me, or the info your about to read. In order for you to win and start a successful bounce house business… you have to go and do it!

Stop wondering about it. Stop investigating it. Stop contemplating on it…

Just go.

Entrepreneur Inspiration

Entrepreneur Inspiration

24 hours x 7 days = 168
8 hours sleep x 7 days = 56
168 – 56 = 112 hours
112 hours – 40 working = 72 hours
72 – 10 for commute/shower = 62

So that means you have 62 hours a week to work on building something amazing. You decide what you do with those 62 hours.

Before I quit my corporate job, every single one of those hours had to have PURPOSE or else I was never going to make it.

I started sleeping less so gain time to workout, read, and journal.

I stopped playing video games, stopped drinking, quit TV, and all I did was work on my blog cause I knew that either it would be my way out or that the knowledge I gained would get me out.

And I was right.

I missed a large chunk of Boston’s life, Journeys almost fired me, I lost touch with every friend I had, I went to parties and snuck off to build my blog on my phone in the other room…

but look at what I have now.

I’d do it 4 times longer than I did to get here.

And that’s just to get it started! Once it’s built it takes even more effort to scale.

But that’s ME. You have to find your path and “balance”.

There was one time when a dear friend told me that I was lucky cause of how big The Jump Off was getting.

We were on the phone, and I remember EXACTLY where I was when she said it.

I just smiled cause I knew what she meant, but in my head I was like…LUCKY?? Lol no, no.

That was the moment when I decided I had to figure out how to document my work ethic actually.

I look like an overnight success but I did more than anyone will ever know.

Don’t try to be me. Be you!

But just know this entrepreneur thing is closer to the story I just told and not what you see on Instagram.

If you don’t love it, you can’t make it. It’s too fucking hard.

But if you find enjoyment in the difficulty then you WILL make it.

Being a Bounce House Entrepreneur (What its REALLY Like)

New YT video up!!

It’s about a 6 minute excerpt from the end of my last 60min video. I talk about some real shit.

Being an entrepreneur is MANY things good and bad, but if you really want to make you you’ve got to have the motivations for it meaning…

-Shit that 99% of people see as BAD, you see as good
-Losing is better than winning
-Winning never satisfys your drive to win
-Money is just a scoreboard not a inspiration
-There are no reinforcements. You rely on yourself
-The thought of a 401k is disgusting
-You’re all in. All in on YOURSELF
-Failure isn’t an option, but temporarily losing small to win big later is bad ass
-You not only can’t blame others, you are the scapegoat
-No one will ever care about it like you do
-All eyes are on you, and everyone has an opinion about you
-Pressure baby, you gotta love it!

Thanks to all the peeps that watch, LIKE, and subscribe.

We’ve got one more video in the pipeline now, and many more to come!

Man Working From Home

How to Build Good Work From Home Habits (and Break Bad Ones)

If you started working remotely at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, you probably expected to be back in the office by now. Although continuing to work remotely keeps us all safe, it’s also a major challenge, especially if you get off on the wrong foot. Fortunately, it’s never too late to turn bad habits into good ones.

With Origin Leadership on your side, you can develop the skills you need to thrive in a remote work environment. Here’s a look at a few of the best habits out there for successfully working from home:

Create A Results-Forward Environment

Surroundings often dictate success.

  • A dedicated office area is one of the most effective productivity tools out there.
  • If you haven’t already started tailoring your workspace, now’s the time to start.
  • No spare rooms? Check out these tips for building an office in your basement or garage.

Foster Self-Motivation

Independence is the name of the game in remote work.

Build a Strong Routine

Your office habits don’t work as well at home – build new ones.

  • Start your morning with a strong remote work routine that gets you into a productive headspace.
  • Tackle your hardest projects first, when you have the energy to do them well.
  • Remember to take breaks for lunch, moving around, and clearing your head – it’s not good for your mind or body to sit in one spot all day.

Many people find that, with the right techniques, they perform even better when working from home. Dedicate time and energy into figuring out a remote workflow that works for you. In doing so, you empower yourself to succeed in any setting.

Look to Origin Leadership for more great tips and inspiration that will help you to flourish!

Sickness Proves the World is Amazing

I was sick as a dog on Tuesday.

Woke up with a small stomach ache.

I pushed through and worked out, ate breakfast, like normal.

Tummy got worse and worse throughout the day.

I gutted out coaching Boston’s soccer practice at 6:30pm. My dad is the assistant coach and he took a lot of the lead role which helped a ton!

Got home about 7:30 and…BEDTIME!

Food poisoning.

It was BAD through the night, and I finally broke it about 9:30am on Wednesday.

I was still hurting all day but not as bad!

Skipped my own soccer game that night.

And then I woke up Thursday… morning READY TO CONQUER THE WORLD!

The interesting thing about being sick is how much of a perspective shift it is…

Once you’re healthy, it’s go time! Is as if the sun is brighter, people are nicer, and the world just occurs as amazing.

We just don’t realize how amazing life is until a part of it is compromised.

Then, when that compromise subsides, we can actually see to world for what it is…

UNBELIEVABLE!

Be thankful for what you have, whatever it is.

Realize that maybe THIS IS heaven.

It’s all good. And mindset can make it even better!

Here’s my beautiful wife Michelle making Keto Empanadas!

I will be the camera man, and for the first time ever, I’ll also be Michelle’s coach because I have actually made this recipe once before!!

That’s a first on The Glassett Cooking Hour!

you can find Michelle’s Facebook here: Michelle Glassett

You can find my facebook page here Nick Glassett
Note: the FB Live will be broadcast from Michelle’s FB account

This blog post will serve as the recipe page so we can share it with you, and then after we cooked the dish (and ate it) I updated the post with any tweaks we think the recipe needs, as well as add photos and any further instructions that we feel are missing.

What Website am I on?

If your curious as to what site your on, this is actually my (Nick’s) blog, and it actually has very little to do with food! It’s a business, and management/leadership blog where I write a lot of inspirational content and it generally follows my thoughts about business, running teams of any kind, and self awareness and personal growth. If you happen to poke around a bit, AWESOME! I love any feedback and of course your eye balls on my writing is amazing.

I’m trying to get Michelle to start her own blog, but we’re pretty busy people so I have yet to succeed in that…until then, these recipes will have to live on my blog!

Disclaimer, I have no freaking idea how to write recipes, so I just keep it simple 🙂

We love any and all feedback, so please let us know what you thought by dropping us a line! I put a contact form at the bottom of the post!

Busy is a Choice. Tired is a Mindset.

My little boy has been watching Twitch a lot lately (a social media platform where you watch other people play video games) He’s kind of turning into a little 4.5 year old gamer. My BUILDER sprit took over, and I decided to have an important conversation with him…
I told him that we can have HIM play the games, and have other people watch him on Twitch. He was intrigued…then interested…then Tuesday night he was asking me all night long to “Make a video” for Twitch. I haven’t had the time to set it all up yet, so after I finished with some office work it was about 9pm and I told him we’d just record a video for now instead. We did, and it was hilarious!! (it’s on my social media if you want to see it)
One of my wife’s friends commented on Facebook that the Glassett’s are the busiest people on earth, and she doesn’t understand how we have time to do all the things that we do. I feel that. I get that…and from the outside I understand why she would say that…but…
Busy is a choice!
I love to BUILD and so when I get home, I just keep doing it. Sometimes that looks like being on the phone with you guys. Sometimes it looks like writing. Sometimes it looks like helping Michelle with her marketing. Sometimes it looks like building legos with Boston! Soon It will look like playing Roblox with him… I don’t watch TV. I wake up at the same time everyday (yes, even when I’m off). I read before I go to bed. I write in my journal.
I may look “busy”, but really it’s just only doing things that ADD VALUE to the family or to life. I’m never too busy, but my day is ALWAYS full.
How does this apply to you? Simple…we’re out of BTS now, and the MORAL here is that we don’t let down. We don’t get lazy and say “we’re tired.” HELL. NO. If busy is a choice, then tired is a mindset. We’re fine. Honestly. Clean up the…SELLING, STORE, and OPERATIONS. We’ve got work to do!
Thanks!

Offense Builds. Defense Loses.

We have worked hard. Most of us VERY hard over the last 2-3 weeks. That was so we could WIN and WIN BIG! And that’s exactly what we did 🙂
Now, we’re all going to take a little time off next week, and get some “rest”.
But an important thing to note; That rest is done away from Journeys.
What do I mean by that???
While we’re at work, we gotta WORK.
When we clock out for the day, do whatever you want. When we clock IN for the day, WE BUILD.
Build sales Build GOR Build people Build culture
If we’re not building, we’re not playing offense. If we’re not playing offense, we’re playing defense. (THERE IS NO MIDDLE. Only Offense and Defense.) When we play defense, we’re just maintaining. Maintaining is the same as losing because everyone else that’s on offense is gaining ground.
Focus your work on the things that matter. Get the sales behaviors to a place you are PROUD of. I’m going to ASK that you fix that sock ratio NOW.
Let’s keep building!! 🙂

Teach. Trust. Outsource. SELL. COACH.

“The pessimist complains about the wind. The optimist expects it to change. The realist adjusts the sails”

Good Saturday Morning!

This time of year is all about BIG volume and NEW employees. Your “ship” has probably tripled in size!

This leads to many challenges that you don’t face on a regular basis. It calls for leadership on a level that is not required of you on a regular basis, which leads to 3 options…

1. Complain – Easiest option, and not a solution.

2. Hope for better – Easy as long as you can act naive. Not a solution.

3. Add Value to others – Not actually hard at all, but it takes leadership! Total solution.

“Slowing down doesn’t mean accomplishing less; it means cutting out counterproductive distractions and the perception of being rushed.”

Using the 3rd option will obviously cause us to make more money.

It’s about FOCUS. Where is your focus?

On doing everything even though you have triple the teammates? (Overwhelming)

Or doing the MEANINGFUL stuff, while teaching others the small stuff? (Outsourcing)

Teach and trust others to do the small things, so you can slow down with the people and impact their selling which will impact their lives!

Then you can SELL and TEACH 🙂
Have a HUGE Saturday!

Stay Humble and Grind

“The people that are going to be successful are going to find advantages in any situation.” -Tim Ferriss
It’s a mindset thing. A positivity thing, and a humbleness thing…but no matter what it’s a “ME” thing. As in, no matter what we’re given in life, we can and will succeed with it.
Last night I saw a video of a kid that took 2 things that are seemingly unrelated, and is now making a name for himself off of it. 1. He works at Walmart – Yes, blue vest and all 2. He can dance. – Like REALLY dance
He’s now got videos going viral, featured on the news, etc etc. I’ll tell you this…that kid was going to be successful no matter what, it was just a matter of time and people would be paying attention to him. All it took was one Drake song/dance to get popular!
We all have our own “situation”, and career-wise they all take place at work. Then we have an area where our performance is weaker than we’d like.
We all have the same tools, we all have the same customers more-or-less, the only difference is where we put the EFFORT.
Is the effort in IMPROVING and CHANGING the approach when something isn’t working? Or is the effort in looking for a reason “we can’t”? Are we working hard AND working on the right things?
You have an advantage over everyone else, but it takes WORK to find it. Meaningful work! Stay positive and keep grinding, you’ll find it. And when you do, your success will have a VIRAL feel to it too 🙂
Thank you!
